Terms & Conditions

We will be pleased to accept animals for boarding on the following basis: -

  1. That the animal's owner warrants that the animal is in fit and sound condition.
  2. The animal's owner confirms that their dog/s have been inoculated against Parvo, Distemper, Hepatitis and Leptospirosis within the last 12 months. Relevant Certificates must be produced for inspection at Lodge Gate Kennels before any animal will be accepted for boarding. Optional kennel cough vaccine must be administered at least 6 weeks prior to boarding. Vaccination Certificates must be shown or an email received from your vet to confirm current vaccinations. Legislation has changed and we no longer need to hold your Certificate.
  3. In the event of injury to or illness of the animal, Lodge Gate Kennels will instruct our designated veterinary surgeon (Senlac, Battle) if required. Lodge Gate Kennel's insurance will meet costs provided there was no pre-existing condition or illness prior to boarding and the illness or condition was the fault of Lodge Gate Kennels. Claims must be made within 72 hours from day of collection.
  4. The animal's owner accepts and agrees that whilst every care and attention is given to the animal(s), they are accepted by Lodge Gate Kennels at the owner's risk. Also, belongings (such as toys, blankets, beds, collars and leads) are also left at the owner's risk.
  5. When a booking is made, a fixed date and time on which the owner will collect the animal will be agreed. If the owner wishes to collect the animal before that date, they may do so but will remain liable to pay boarding fees up to the agreed collection date. A cancellation fee of 20% boarding costs are payable if less than 21 days notice before boarding start date is given
  6. All rates are daily, levied from and including the day of arrival up to and including the day of departure. If dogs are collected before 10am on their final day, no charge is made for that day, provided we have been told this at the time of booking. Owners must settle their accounts in full before the animal is removed.
  7. Should you be unable to collect your dog on the arranged day, please contact us immediately to re-arrange collection or to arrange delivery. If no contact is made within 14 days, we will endeavour to re-home your dog and the dog becomes the property of Lodge Gate Kennels.
  8. Owners will be liable for any additional costs Lodge Gate Kennels may incur in the event of a dishonoured cheque.
  9. A minimum peak season rate of 7 days boarding will apply for the month of August. We will take bookings for shorter breaks of less than 7 days in August but not until mid-July when all the longer bookings are in.
  10. Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day carry a double daily rate (all dogs boarding on Christmas day will receive a visit from Santa and will be served a turkey lunch!).
