We are Andy, Jane and Tom Freeman and we are dog lovers. We don't breed dogs, show dogs or rescue dogs. Our focus is given to the dogs we board. We live on site with our (outrageously naughty) Jack Russell Buddy and Bluebell the cat.
It has been a long held dream to own our own boarding kennel, somewhere that we would be happy to board our own much loved dog in - something that we couldn't ever find.
We are a very small kennel because we want to give the dogs in our care lots of time and attention. We don't mix the dogs in our care - your dog/s get individual attention. We feel that the dogs in our care are on their holidays (even our regular day boarders!) and we do give them treats but as they are exercised so often we've never sent a dog home fatter than it came in!
We wanted kennels for pet dogs that are used to living indoors. For that reason, all of our kennels have internal double glazed doors, not bars. Every kennel has either a double glazed door or double glazed window and hatch to their own outside covered run. Our kennels are for dog lovers not dog owners!
Every kennel has individual heating which is on both day and night if the weather is cold - pets are used to living in centrally heated homes! We do not charge extra for this and we don't care what time of year it is - if it's chilly then the heat is on!!
Our kennels are light and airy. We have magnolia walls and cream floor tiles, so dirt has nowhere to hide! We encourage the dogs to get wet and muddy if they like - we have plenty of old towels for drying them off!!
The happiness of your pet in our care is our paramount concern. If you request a booking form please also add any information that would make your dog/s stay better.
We are going to feed your dog its usual diet - We ask that you supply this. However, we do add tasty stuff - scrambled eggs in the mornings and tuna/sardines/chicken/cheese in their tea.
We encourage dogs to bring their own bed, toys and brush in order to feel more at home here, although, if preferred, we will supply beds lined with Vetbed Gold (a very thick simulated sheepskin). For very small dogs who might need a further feeling of security, we also have an igloo and indoor crate to use as a den within the kennel.
We also have lots of toys, which we are happy to supply. We have tough toys for stronger dogs, ones that can be filled with little treats and smaller toys and teddy's for the smaller dogs.
One of the best ways for us to win the friendship and trust of your pet is to spoil them, which we intend to do.
We will provide lots of treats at regular intervals throughout the day. We never use potentially dangerous treats - no hide chews for example. All dogs receive a goodnight Bonio or dental chew.
The dogs will be taken out of their kennel frequently during the day. They will be lead walked in the surrounding woodland and will have supervised off lead fun and games such as fetch, football and frisbee, in our play field (which is securely fenced).
